Oh, Taylor and Anthony! How we love weddings of college sweethearts; those of you who start out as best friends and then fell in love and who are now spending the rest of their lives together. These two almost have a secret language and it was fun to meet with them over the two months of planning their MinneWedding to learn more about the adventures that had shaped their life together. Namely bacon played a part, but there was also Ireland and Scotland and cheeseburgers and a mutual respect and admiration to encourage one another toward dreams and the future.
Taylor had only a few requirements for the styling of her Minnesota park wedding: Royal blue was her color, red velvet was her cake, retro was her jam and her grandmothers needed to have a special part in the event. Oh, and Anthony needed to wear cat socks. I think we all delivered, from designing a wedding cake that matched the lace on the bride's dress to sewing custom linens so that we could style the day just so. We were even able to repurpose their custom wedding ceremony backdrop for a reception photo booth for guests to enjoy. Thank you, thank you for letting us be part of your lives.
Special thanks to our dear friend Mary at Woes Are We who captured this day for Away We Go Weddings and brought our bride hot chocolate so she didn't turn into something blue.
XO, S.
